Green Marketing:
The Four Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink)
Presented by Darryl Cross, Lexis-Nexis
Your clients are under great financial pressures. They are transferring these pressures to the law firms they work with. Those law firms are then transferring those pressures to marketing departments, and ultimately, to you. Despite the demands, most departments are being asked to increase results while simultaneously reducing budgets and headcounts. If you can’t get more, what is the alternative? Green Marketing.
However, green marketing in this context is not about using less paper or decreasing your carbon footprint. It is about getting more results while using less resources. Green marketers must learn to do the following: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rethink.
- Reduce marketing spending on frivolous, one- off, ego-driven tactics
- Reuse proven programs with high ROI in multiple mediums
- Recycle by finding old marketing efforts that can work well again with a little refreshing and refurbishment
- Rethink how to make it better, cheaper, faster or if certain tactics and strategies need to be retired for good
